Facade coating

A kaleidoscope of colours

Because anodising is restricted to a relatively small number of colours, architects are increasingly turning to powder coating for facades. Highly weather-resistant powder coatings by AGRU Oberflächentechnik enhance substrates such as aluminium, steel and galvanised steel, offering a wide range of surface finish effects such as metallic, finely-textured or speckled shades in addition to premium aesthetic appeal. An adhesive primer is applied up front for this type of coating. The workpieces are then electrostatically charged and sprayed with powder coating, which is cured at 180 °C. The powder coating is environmentally friendly and free of solvents. AGRU Oberflächentechnik can create all RAL, NCS, Pantone and other special colours using the powder coating process.

Anodised aluminium facades

Lightweight and corrosion-free

Aluminium has become indispensable in state-of-the-art facade architecture design. The benefits are obvious: At a weight of just 2.7 g/cm³ (1/3 the weight of steel) builders can offer excellent corrosion resistance and ease of processing for a wide variety of components. Aluminium's weather resistance has its limits. This is why the surface needs to be protected by anodising. AGRU Oberflächentechnik offers both colourless and coloured anodising in bronze and gold hues. Particular attention is paid to fixing the colour particles in and sealing the pores. This improves the corrosion, frost and light resistance of the facade. And it keeps the building shell resistant to weathering and colourfast for many years.

Metal art

Enhanced finishing of metals for all time

Artists develop high-quality and unique metal products for garden, landscape and building architecture. Besides the wide variety of materials, the different forms also play a role. Some areas of a work of art need to be partially covered during the anodising process. When powder coating special forms, the challenge is to ensure uniform and flawless powder application in all areas of the work. Even two-tone coatings are possible. AGRU Oberflächentechnik is your preferred contractor when aesthetic appeal is the focus.

Classic metal construction work

Versatile surface finishing technology

A huge range of requirements comes into play in classic metal construction work. The drivers are function, aesthetic appeal and corrosion protection. A metal construction company's range of services extends from components for interior and exterior architecture to sophisticated parts for mechanical and equipment engineering. AGRU Oberflächentechnik rounds off its extensive surface finishing program with valuable additional services. They include mechanical and chemical pre-treatments such as chromating, pre-anodising or steel shot blasting, but also post-treatments such as noise suppression coating or protective foiling or cardboard packaging. Of course, AGRU also gives you a logistics service to match with flexible storage and delivery options.

Automotive powder coating

Committed to the high standards of the automotive industry

The automotive and bodywork industry presents particular challenges for surface finishing technology. The powder-coated components must have the highest surface quality and be capable of resisting the toughest conditions involving grit, high and low temperatures and mechanical influences. AGRU Oberflächentechnik offers a special surface passivation technique, known as gel chromating, for this purpose. This is the best way to protect galvanised surfaces against corrosion and ensure a long service life. Thanks to the huge palette of available colours, vehicle parts can be powder-coated in any RAL, Pantone and NCS hue.

Anodising

Enhancing the surface finish of parts exposed to severe stress

Sectional doors in industrial applications open upwards and are exposed to high mechanical stresses and continual weather influences. For the anodising to be able to stand up to these conditions in the long term, a compliant coating structure and optimum compaction are required. Absolutely clean workpiece surfaces form the basis for durable and homogeneous anodising. This is why chemical pre-treatment to remove oil and grease is so important. Finally, the oxide layer is compacted in hot water and an optimum surface result is achieved in terms of tactile experience and appearance.
