Perforated, anodised bronze facade

Located on the northern outskirts of Salzburg, a state-of-the-art, three-storey office complex is being built that impresses with its offset design and good public transport network links.
FDT was commissioned with manufacturing and installing an aesthetic, 1,800 m² perforated sheet facade. AGRU Oberflächentechnik in Waldneukirchen anodised the perforated sheet in light bronze.

The facade impresses with its individually-anodised metal sheets featuring large punched holes, which create a consistent and continuous pattern right up to the edge areas of the finished facade. This meant a large number of different perforated sheet cassettes for production, each of which had to be positioned precisely and continuously. There was also the requirement to build the underlying substructure such that it was concealed. For AGRU Oberflächentechnik, the challenge was to anodise the large quantities quickly and deliver them in good time. FDT employees pre-assembled the suspension system on mullion transom elements at AGRU Oberflächentechnik's factory. This allowed for valuable time and space savings at the construction site. Pre-assembling the finished facade elements and delivering them by truck meant that the elements could be quickly and securely attached to the wall.
