A firm electrical contact (contact points and contract strips) is essential for anodising. For this reason, a drawing indicating the visible side must be attached to the delivery note in order to implement the anodising contacts. For sheet metal, contact strips are usually attached to the back and contact points to the front. Profiles are given contact points at both ends (2–3 cm)!
For frame constructions/cavities: Inlet and drain holes must be drilled by the customer. If the drain holes are not positioned correctly or are blocked by aluminium chips, for example, the pre-treatment liquid cannot drain properly from the cavity.
If rework is necessary due to the issues described here, please understand that this will be carried out at the customer's expense!
Materials with wall thicknesses < 1 mm can only be anodised at the customer's own risk.
